Assuming no relics, which warlord trait do you think is more useful for a generic exalted sorcerer. +1 on psychic tests or knowing one additional power? I like the versatility of having three powers but the +1 seems more useful overall.
I should note that the sorcerer is being used in a survive a horde of poxwalkers game so everyone only has one model.

In that scenario the +1.
A termie sorc with familiar and the +1 is +2 to cast and +4 with cabal, which is fun. Terminator armor would be handy against pox walkers if that's an option.
Otherwise getting glamor and heals off will be important.

The extra power might actually be a good idea in that specific scenario. Usually it's useless because you have enough psykers to cover every power you want anyways, but if you only have one model...

That makes sense.
For this one there's a stat/wargeer buy system that increases exponentially with each improvement to the same stat or slot. You can take any options/rules as long as their not unique to special characters but each ability has to be purchased like any other improvement. You start at straight 3's except for leadership at 8.
I should add that you can add psychic powers this way too, so he was already at 3 on the point buy. Also we can target other player characters if we want to so everyone expects to fight each other too.

Conidering smite is the main thing psykers do anyway, you already are picking 2 of 3. +1 is much better.

I Agree with this. Also that +1 makes it that slightly easier to super smite on a 10+

"Courage and Honour. I hear you murmur these words in the mist, in their wake I hear your hearts beat harder with false conviction seeking to convince yourselves that a brave death has meaning.
There is no courage to be found here my nephews, no honour to be had. Your souls will join the trillion others in the mist shrieking uselessly to eternity, weeping for the empire you could not save.
To the unfaithful, I bring holy plagues ripe with enlightenment. To the devout, I bring the blessing of immortality through the kiss of sacred rot.
And to you, new-born sons of Gulliman, to you flesh crafted puppets of a failing Imperium I bring the holiest gift of all.... Silence."

I opt for +1 cast on my DP warlord all the time. 5 casts at +1 is pretty great.
