"Right then guys," said Granger, knocking Bennett's feet off the table and dropping a pile of folders in their place. "As we all know, the whole world's gone to sh*t and no one knows what's going on anymore. We're suddenly in demand again and we've got some jobs to choose from." Picking up the folders, he started passing them out to the assembled group. "We've got offers from in South America, Africa, Europe, North America and the Middle East so it's up to you guys to decide".

It's been a while but we're back with another 50 fantastic 28mm sculpts! As with our first Kickstarter, we want to produce miniatures that aren't tied down to a specific conflict, allowing them to be used in all manner of games and systems.

We've got:
- South American cartel soldiers
- African insurgents
- Republican guard
- European rioters
- American survivalists

This time our inspiration has come mainly from Hollywood, so we'll leave you to guess which movies we've been watching!

Our initial funding target is £3000 and there's also some stretch goals ready to go, including Humvees, leaders, robots and more!

Everything kicks off at 6pm on Saturday 27th October. The campaign will run for 14 days so make sure to get your pledges in!

Links and more info to come very soon!

Man, at least list the material they're made of. I'd think that was basic information.

Wait, robots? I missed that on the Facebook announcement. Uh, as in like Terminators, or are we talking about modern drones? Oooh...

I'll keep my eye out for what the tiers are. This range would work with great with loads of the existing modern figures out there, besides Post-Apocalyptic stuff. I'd be mostly into the AKs myself, but there's enough in this lot that there's something for many settings, and they're proportioned well enough to match what the current trend is for moderns.

The Robots are on our Minibits website here: http://www.minibits.net/militia-miniatures/robots/ The plan is to add a 5th pose to each pack and reduce the price on them.

Militia Miniatures - The Bad Guys KS - Target Hit!

Huge thanks to everyone who has backed our project and pushed us over our funding target. We'll start putting the sculpts into master moulds at this end and we'll get some pics of the castings for you asap.

This means that the Humvee is now in sight and ready to unlock at £4000! This model was 3D designed and printed shortly after our original KS campaign so it really deserves to be in production and on your tables after all that time sitting here on its own! Cast in resin with metal parts, it comes armed with either the M60 machine gun or M19 grenade launcher. If we can hit that next goal, this model will be available as an Add-On at £15 per vehicle.

That's it for now, let's keep this going and get that £4k target hit!

We've hit the £4000 stretch goal, meaning that the Humvee is now live and available to add to your Pledge! As an added bonus, we'll include both gun options with every vehicle, so you can fit your Humvee's out with either the M60 or M19. The mounting for them is the same, so you could even swap them over during a game if you wanted.

The Humvee is a £15 Add-On to your pledge. As another bonus, we've decided that there is no shipping surcharge on this item for those of you outside the UK.

So, just add £15 per Humvee to your Pledge and let's crack on for the £5000!

We're halfway through our campaign and we've smashed through another stretch goal, unlocking the Leaders for each of our factions! We've contacted the sculptor and work has started on these so we'll have pictures for you as soon as we receive them.

These will be individual character types:

- A suited Colombian drug lord for our Cartel soldiers.
- An African general for our Insurgents, a bit like an Idi Amin style figure.
- A Republican Guard officer, not quite the obvious candidate but similar.
- A more rotund chap for the Survivalists, who definitely wants to to make America great again...
- And a female hacker type for our Rioters, co-ordinating things on social media.

Each of these is a £2 Add-On to your Pledge or you can add all 5 for £8 which means 45% discount over RRP!

Our next stretch goal is £6000 where two things will happen:

1. Firstly we'll add a 5th pose to the Crossover Miniatures range of Robots which we acquired earlier this year. There are two sets, Advancing and Firing, and each set comes with two head options as well. The sculptor is poised and ready to start work on these straightaway. These will be an Add-On, priced at £6 for 5 robots.

2. We're also getting a gunner figure made, as a conversion on our original Strike mercenary, which will be added as a freebie to every Humvee purchased. This is getting done either way, so if we don't hit the £6000 we can offer it as a paid Add-On.

If we're able to hit £7000 then we'll be adding a completely new set to campaign, so another 5 'Regulars' and 5 'Specials'. We've got a few ideas of our own about what to add but let us know what you'd like to see!

And that's it for now, we've got 7 days left so keep those pledges coming in!

I'll be in for more figures. Here's the money pledged now, pending some more images.

Re: the future possible ranges, any hints as to what they would be? I'd like more guys with AKs, but well I'm already backing this campaign just for some more fighters with those as it is (there's few models with bare arms out there oddly, so those Africans will make good conversion fodder). Personally I'd like to see perhaps some skin head types for an Eastern European militia or gangsters, but that's me showing my own bias.

Thanks for the feedback, we've got some ideas here but we're always looking for more options. Our intial idea would be Eastern Europe but something a bit more 80's and leather jacketed, ready to storm Nakatomi Plaza...! Skinhead gangsters is a good idea though, is there a specific movie with some good inspiration images?

I was specifically thinking of the Russian gangsters of the 90s. Leather jackets and sports trousers. Though that could go all the way to modern Russian biker gangs like the Night wolves, who mix traditional biker gear with more Cossack elements (but that's perhaps a bit too weird for a broader Kickstarter like this).

I'm not massively well versed in Eastern European cinema however, rather was basing this off of news reports. ...And its difficult to find promotional material for the films that do which would be PC enough to post here (i.e. Russia 88). However, a skin head with an AK's like any other barring the little details. So British films like This Is England would be close enough (they obviously got their AKs from the IRA, instead of sporting SLRs). Just guys in wife beaters, leather jackets and denims/ sports trousers. With optional jewellery. Who could do for various Right leaning groups. You're looking for specific characters from cinema however, which I can't think of off the top of me head (the one idiot out of The 51st State had a shotgun rather than an AK from what I can remember).

Yes, that's what I thought about when I looked at them. Being that these models are more of an action movie style set of villains instead of trying to be some sort of political statement. And all this whilst a model perhaps inspired by Trump is the leader of these "bad guys". Oh my.

Use the models for what you want.

It's pretty much as Wyrmalia has said above, these are just generic villains or 'Bad Guys' from movies. The Rioters could be from the Purge films or they could be European uprising types who wouldn't be considered bad guys by everyone. The Cartel soldiers could be genuine soldiers doing their job but for our setting they're the militia of a druglord in a made-up country. The Survivalists are a bit of a mash-up of various TV shows and some horror movies, but I didn't think hillbillies or rednecks would be appropriate so we went with survivalists instead.

We've hit the £6000 target and so we've now unlocked:

Robots!

We acquired these Robots from Crossover Miniatures earlier this year and they come in packs of 4 normally. We're adding a 5th pose to each pack and they are now available to add to your Pledge at the bargain price of £6 per 5 robots.

There are 3 types: Firing / Advancing / Command, so have a look at the pictures below and if you want any including, simply add £6 per pack to your pledge.

Gunner!

We're getting one of our original Mercs converted to be a new gunner for our excellent Humvee model, so everyone who has purchased a Humvee will get a free gunner per vehicle. Buy 1 Humvee, get 1 gunner, buy 3 Humvees, get 3 gunners... You get the idea!

Next up is the £7000 target which is certainly possible with 4 days remaining. At this point we'll be unlocking a completely new set of sculpts, but we've not yet decided what to do! So, let us know your favourite movie bad guys and we'll see what's the most popular option.

Keep the pledges coming in and we'll have some pics of the Leader sculpts for you very soon.

Sunny Middlesbrough!

Hi everyone,

After hitting the £7000 last night and talking to the sculptor today, we can now announce that our bonus set is going to be...

1980's European terrorists!

Leather jackets, bad hair, tight jeans, everything you need to take over Nakatomi Plaza and defeat that pesky chap in the vest. We had a lot of excellent suggestions from folks over the past couple of days but these guys won the vote! And it's quite appropriate at this time of year to be adding something from the best Christmas movie of all time...

We'll be adding a Leader for them as well of course, no worries there.

So, what does this mean for pledging? Well we won't have any pictures of these new sculpts for several weeks as the sculptor has had to reschedule a few things to fit us in. The sculpting will of course be the same excellent standard as the sets we've already previewed but we understand that you many of you will want to see the figures before deciding whether you want them!

So if you like the idea of some 1980's terrorists, there's a couple of options:

- Increase your pledge by £8 per pack (or £7.50 if buying more than 10 packs in total) to cover these new sculpts. Add an additional £2 if you'd like the Leader as well. If you see the eventual sculpts and decide that you don't like them, then we'll refund that additional pledge amount. You can of course take some of the other sets instead, or we could exchange the amount for Minibits store credit.

- Wait until we've previewed the sculpts and then decide whether to add any of the new sculpts to your pledge. This would be done after the Kickstarter has ended and would be invoiced separately.

Leaders

The Leader sculpts are in progress and we'll have some pictures of them before the Kickstarter ends on Saturday.

And that's about it for now, less than 48 hours to go now!

There's less than 24 hours left on our Militia Miniatures - The Bad Guys! Kickstarter! It finishes at 6pm GMT on Saturday 10th November so make sure you've pledged before the deadline: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/minibits/militia-miniatures-the-bad-guys

We've got 55 excellent new 28mm sculpts produced by the extremely talented Paolo Fabiani and so far we've unlocked all of our stretch goals and added some really nice extras, including another 11 sculpts!

At £4000 we unlocked a resin Humvee which is now available as an Add-On, priced at £15. It comes with both the M19 and M60 gun options, as well as a free gunner figure!

At £5000 we unlocked the Leaders for each set, adding another 5 sculpts to the project. These will be an Add-On, at £2 each or £8 for all 5!

At £6000 we unlocked the Robots! We acquired these from Crossover Miniatures earlier this year and there are three sets, Firing / Advancing / Command. Each set comes with two head options as well. Currently they come in packs of 4 so we're sculpting a 5th robot for each pack and these are available at £6 per pack of 5.

At £7000 we added a completely new set to the project, so the European Terrorists are now available to add to your Pledge, as well as their Leader!

Why should I pledge?

> Discounted prices - All of these packs will retail at £9.50 when they are launched on our website, so you get to buy them at £8.00 per pack (15% discount) as well as being the first to get your hands on them!
> Bulk discounts - Once you reach 10 packs, the price will come down to £7.50 per pack, saving you even more and making it £75.00 for 50 figures!
> Flat rate shipping - £3 in the UK, £5 for the Rest of the World, no matter how many packs you buy.
> Quick turnaround - Our first Kickstarter was shipped within 2 months of the campaign ending so you'll receive your pledge quickly. We've been in the industry for over 20 years now (Pendraken Miniatures) so we've got the experience and the staff to get these into production and into your hands. We're estimating January for delivery but we'd hope to have everything shipped a bit quicker.
> Free bases - All figures will come with free MDF bases, either squares or circles, 20mm or 25mm, your choice.

The Sculpts!

Pack A - Is the rank and file guys that make up the bulk of any bad guy army! Armed with rifles, they come with the ability to miss every shot they take, leaving your heroes to mow them down in search of glory!

Pack B - Is our 'Specials', armed with a mixture of swords, grenades, baseball bats, RPG's and more! These figures could be mixed in with Pack A for more variety, or used as command figures or personalities in your games.

South American Cartel Soldiers

These guys look like they might have kidnapped someone's daughter...

African Insurgents

Usually found attacking downed choppers, and yes, he is wearing a wedding dress...!

Republican Guard

A more formal henchman, for your affluent crazy General...

European Rioters

These guys just want a single night of freedom...

American Survivalists

Brewing up Moonshine in the wilderness or directing tourists down the wrong road, we certainly wouldn't trust these folks!

We've also added a 6th set to our campaign, so you can now also choose:

1980's European Terrorists!

Humvee

Leaders

These will be individual character types:

- A suited Colombian drug lord for our Cartel soldiers.
- An African general for our Insurgents, a bit like an Idi Amin style figure.
- A Republican Guard officer, not quite the obvious candidate but similar.
- A more rotund chap for the Survivalists, who definitely wants to to make America great again...
- A female hacker type for our Rioters, co-ordinating things on social media.
- A well dressed chap in a suit for our Terrorists.

Robots

Mercenaries

You can also choose to add any of the figures from our previous Kickstarter at only £2 per figure! Simply add that amount to your pledge and we'll include them for you.

Summary

Once you've had a look through the packs, calculate your total, head over to Kickstarter and make your pledge:

1-9 packs = £8 per pack
10+ packs = £7.50 per pack

Add as many Humvee's as you'd like:

£15 per vehicle (comes with both M60 and M19, and a gunner figure)

Add any Leaders you'd like:

£2 per figure

£6 per pack of 5 figures (Available in packs of Firing / Advancing / Command)

Add any of the previous KS Mercenaries:
