Hey guys, just want some clarification on the interaction between the Crusaders Helm relic and certain warlord traits.

If I was to use the Helm, and pick the Codex:SM Trait "Rites of War", would the auto-pass morale effect be extended to 9" thanks to the helm?

I'm running a BT themed army, and having a 9" Re-roll, Auto-pass bubble for Cruasder Squads would be an enormous advantage.

IIRC, the relic states it increases the range of aura abilities on the datasheet. as awarlord trait is not on this. It would not apply.

The relic explicitly states "aura abilities on its datasheet". Warlord Traits are not on "its datasheet" so they don't get improved.

Ah thanks for the replies. I didn't read the relic carefully enough.

I did think it was an odd interaction, but since I was using battlescribe to play around with an army list; the traits are always listed on the units datasheet like their normal aura abilities using that app.

Dont use battlescribe as your only rules source.
