I am painting tyranids again. I have not painted them since summer. And lord and behold, when I painted my hormagaunts my feathering was down the drain.

It was frustrating.

I mix too many custom colors. I understand your pain.

No I have the colour. I just lost the actual way to feather, as a teqnique. Forgotten. ^_^

This is not a joke post - I've recently had the revelation that you find things best when you stop looking for them.
Just paint without trying and your "muscle memory" will take over and you'll find yourself doing it.

you cant lose a technique. just do it and it will come back eventually. just need to refresh the muscle memory.
