I've been tweaking this list for a while now, and the biggest change I've made so far is swapping out a Scrivener in favour of a Bilepiper. The Plaguebearers REALLY need to survive, and while I don't care too much about their damage output, I definitely care about their survivability. Having the Bilepiper increases the odds of the 1 on morale from 16% (roll a natural 1) to 50% (using a CP reroll), meaning I should gain Plaguebearers thrice a game instead of once. That's huge.

The differences in these lists are primarily the starting CP and the power of my characters.
Each variant has a core of Virus Bomb, Letter Bomb, Fire Bomb, supported by two Nurgle characters, Ahriman, a TSons Prince, another TSons character, and a Khorne Axe Prince.

Horde II has the fewest CP, but also the fewest "tax" units. With two units of Horrors to summon, I feel confident that I will have enough to clear off enemy advances into my territory.
Horde III
Horde IV has no tax Bloodletters, and so I dropped the Juggerherald in favour of a trick character, the Slerald. She will hang out with the Plaguebearers and Nurgle characters and pop out at an opportune moment in order to neutralize an enemy character.

Yeah, III is what I took at a tournament this past weekend and I went 2-1, lost on ITC points to a similar list (they replaced the Nurgle section and Khorne taxes with Renegade Knights).

In that game, I was surprised how poorly my Letter bomb did. It failed to kill a Helverin when it dropped, and was counter-charged by his 20-man letter, where it died in morale.

I have been thinking that the Skullmaster isn't worth it. He usually doesn't get to where the Letter Bomb is, so the Crown only grants around 10 extra attacks throughout the game for himself and the small squads.
And then if I'm not even USING the Khorne locus, I may as well mix the detachments, which got me to Horde IV.

That sounds like bad luck, really. I don't give a relic to the skullmaster, and just use him to eat all of the overwatch as a sacrifice.
