This is a little strange...I saw this picture while browsing through google and I fell in love with the style. I'm not a terribly advanced painter and I have no idea how this type of look is achieved. Can anyone offer some input on technique please?

Looks like drybrush silver basecoat, heavy washes of brown, and then using a brush to edge certain parts with bright silver to finish.

You could achieve this easily with a couple of different shades of brown, maybe an orange and a metallic. Basecoat your armour with the metallic. Stipple the brown shades unevenly over the armour to create the corrosion, then apply orange to the rusted areas, apply metallic to edges and raised areas.
