Swap the Warriors for 5x Immortals. Unless you max 20 with a Ghost Ark and Chrono-tek to form an anvil, you're going to find that they're basically a waste of points. (and even as an anvil...they aren't that good).

I would also drop all the Scarabs. They're a great unit, but, dropping both and saving 95 points from the Warrior blob gets you:

Add 5 Destroyers with Gauss Cannons. At 1250, a couple turns of Extermination Protocols and they will do a LOT of heavy lifting for you.

I would recommend Tesla for your Tomb Blades; stay at 24" range and kite around on the edge for objectives while maxing out firepower.

On that note, YMMV on Immortals, but Gauss needs to get within 12" for max effectiveness, and 5-man units aren't super resilient, so you'll likely be more conservative with them. Consider swapping Gauss for Tesla to increase firepower? Especially if you have Destroyers in your list, the need for AP-2 firepower elsewhere becomes much less important. Also, MWBD increases mileage on Tesla Immortals, and also makes your Destroyers that much more reliable.

With Destroyers, I'd consider taking a Chrono-tek instead of the Cloak. That 5++ save on them is super handy.

As for Dynasty, your call. There's something good about each of them, and it'll all come down to playstyle. I personally like Nihilakh because it makes my DDAs much more reliably, and parking Destroyers on an objective with Reclaim a Lost Empire makes them very durable, but Nephrekh for speed + the DS strat is also really good.

+1 to all of this.

As for Dynasty, Nihilakh seems the best. The arks are your heavy lifters, so buffing them is the most important thing. If not, the go Sautekh and consider mobile Arks to utilise those flayer arrays.

P.s. if you don't have Destroyers, Wraiths are also a good choice.

Thanks for the replies. Just want to state that all 1st story buildings are considered LOS blocking nor can you shoot from inside them. Also, hills/trees also count as Los blocking and can't shoot while in them. This makes anything with RP pretty good I would think.

Swap the Warriors for 5x Immortals. Unless you max 20 with a Ghost Ark and Chrono-tek to form an anvil, you're going to find that they're basically a waste of points. (and even as an anvil...they aren't that good).

This tournaments idea is to bring new people into the game and we are encouraged to play semi-okay lists so that's why I am fielding 17 warriors.i already know they are quite gakk at doing DMG but maybe I'll be able to spread them out to grab a few objectives.

I would also drop all the Scarabs. They're a great unit, but, dropping both and saving 95 points from the Warrior blob gets you:

Add 5 Destroyers with Gauss Cannons. At 1250, a couple turns of Extermination Protocols and they will do a LOT of heavy lifting for you.
while i like this idea. I think I'll need some scarabs incase I'm against anyone with pysker powers or ways to dish out Mortal Wounds. Baring in mind they are great for going up the flanks to get objectives or into my enemies deployment zone. Plus, with the terrain features i mentioned above being LoS blocking they should be able to move and hide without issue. Also, the TO knows that Destroyers can be good and asked me to not use them as we are introducing new people to the game and he doesn't want them having any sour tastes in their mouths. No meta list will be played .

I would recommend Tesla for your Tomb Blades; stay at 24" range and kite around on the edge for objectives while maxing out firepower.
i was thinking this but the issue i face is that 2 people are bringing Deathguard and 1 person is bringing Nurgle. So, while saturation of Tesla would make the TBs better and able to advance while still shooting with a -1. I think the reliability of Gauss is what i need for this armies. I will definitely be kiting them though or moving into terrain to get RP and so on.

n that note, YMMV on Immortals, but Gauss needs to get within 12" for max effectiveness, and 5-man units aren't super resilient, so you'll likely be more conservative with them.

The 2 immo squads will literally be used to go into LoS terrain, hold objectives and to be used as anti Deepstriking units e.g. have them 9" from the table side so they both put out 18" radius of no DS zones. I am definitely considering changing them to Tesla though. I'm also not using an Overlord or MWBD as i don't have anything in my army that can really take affect by it besides the Warriors but no point buffing them up.

The cloaktek is for the TBs btw, so i can constantly give them 4+ RP. If i can use Destroyers I'll just be hiding them in terrain for 2+ saves. Non of the newbs would know what they do so they wouldn't be targeted until turn 3. I would imagine they would find my DDS more threatening. If going by paper and stats.

As for Dynasty, your call. There's something good about each of them, and it'll all come down to playstyle. I personally like Nihilakh because it makes my DDAs much more reliably, and parking Destroyers on an objective with Reclaim a Lost Empire makes them very durable, but Nephrekh for speed + the DS strat is also really good.
i am either considering Sautekh, Nephrekh or Nihilakh. Sautekh to turn all guns into assault if i advance anything and still want fire power. Neph to auto advance 6" which gives the armies a very reliable movement and the ability to move through enmies models and terrain as if they ain't there. And Nihilakh to make the DDAs more reliable but i would be moving them when anything T8 is gone to make use of the Gauss Arrays if i need too.

I think i am stuck between Neph and Nihilakh. Not quite sure where to go.

Yeah, you pretty much summed up my ideas for the DDAs. I'm just not sure what will be the general best. Btw, i own like 24 Destroyers and 21 Wraiths but my TO would rather neither be used unless other people bring that kind of lists.
