If it's supposed to be fun, for your opponent's sake probably not assassins and Guilliman...

I'd say the assassins but only if you leave Bobby G at home. Primarch doesn't exactly scream fun and casual game.

I don't understand this mentality. What is more fun than having the chance to killy Bobby G? The more epic the models on the table, the higher the stakes and more fun the game gets imo.

Also, if you are having a hard time against marines of any kind, including those with a primarch, you really need to think about your tactics instead of blaming someone's "OP model".

I never said it was OP. I said it wasn't fun. They are not the same thing.

Playing against a Guilliman castle is no fun, screening it with Culexus assassins makes it all the less fun to deal with.

It's not that it's impossible to win against, it's that G is generally used as an unkillable buff stick. That's not epic.

There is a few armies which to kill Gulliman need the controling player to let them kill him. no amount of tactics helps, if your only option to kill him is to somehow get him in the open and charge with your entire army and hope he fails his res roll.

If you have to kill, then kill in the best manner. If you slaughter, then slaughter in the best manner. Let one of you sharpen his knife so his animal feels no pain.

To you, maybe. I want to face GOOD armies, and if that's the way the vanilla codex can function so be it.

The original question is what would be more fun. I'm simply answering that.

If the question was which would be more competitive then I would likely answer differently.

If to you fun and competitive are analogous though then fair enough.
