I'll see if I can't find you an answer for that friend, but I believe not?

so long as each faction fits into a detachment from the core rulebook; yes you can play sororitas alongside marines.

for example: if you had a battalion of each (2 HQ &3 Troops) that'd be a solid base to build on

I know marine rhinos have a rule where only units that share their chapter keyword can embark. I’d be surprised if SoB rhinos didn’t have the same wording. So no sharing rides.
