I thought it would be fun that, with the "Primarisization" of Calgar being the first example we have of a named character being enhanced to a Primaris Marine, that we could have a little community bet based on the new save stats of Calgar that will also set the precedent for future saves on HQ's. The point of contention being that with artificer armor ceasing to exist as a wargear option (outside of a stratagem) that we might see Calgar descend to a humble 3+ for toughness 5. So what do you, the Dakka community, hedge your bets on Calgar's save stats being?

I can’t see him losing 2+. Even if he’s in new gravis it will be some sort of relic gravis that’s already hundreds of years old because it’s convenient fluff wise.

Does the new Calgar miniature ave a jump pack? I swear he looks like he has jump pack intakes facing forward on his pack.

Doesn't seem to be, it just looks a bit wonky.

To me the in takes look like air vents inside a typhon class submarine, to me. maybe making him primaris damaged his lungs or something. And now he has to iron lungs to help him walk around.

If you have to kill, then kill in the best manner. If you slaughter, then slaughter in the best manner. Let one of you sharpen his knife so his animal feels no pain.

Also he didn’t want to look like he was cosplaying as Uncle Guilly, so had the Artificers make something different.

This is what I'm expecting

"Courage and Honour. I hear you murmur these words in the mist, in their wake I hear your hearts beat harder with false conviction seeking to convince yourselves that a brave death has meaning.
There is no courage to be found here my nephews, no honour to be had. Your souls will join the trillion others in the mist shrieking uselessly to eternity, weeping for the empire you could not save.

To the unfaithful, I bring holy plagues ripe with enlightenment. To the devout, I bring the blessing of immortality through the kiss of sacred rot.
And to you, new-born sons of Gulliman, to you flesh crafted puppets of a failing Imperium I bring the holiest gift of all.... Silence."
