Hi all, can anyone recommend a good airbrush kit?

I don't want to spend more than £150 ideally and i'll mostly use it for primer work

The site won't let me post a link in my first post - this caught my eye: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SwitZer-Double-Action-Airbrush-Kit-Compressor-With-Tank-AS186-Paint-Nail-Tatoo/132166170957?epid=26018379175&hash=item1ec5b7b94d:g:b-AAAOSwuIlaWMw9:rk:31:pf:0

I use this compressor https://www.amazon.com/Paasche-D3000R-Compressor-Regulator-Moisture/dp/B001CJPWYM

and this airbrush: https://www.amazon.com/d/Airbrush-Materials/Iwata-Medea-Eclipse-Action-Airbrush-Gravity/B000BQKFAI

Add in a hose: https://www.amazon.com/Master-Airbrush-Premium-Standard-Fittings/dp/B002FDX36I

and a Spray Pot: https://www.amazon.com/Iwata-Medea-Universal-Spray-Out-Pot/dp/B01DYN6ESG

And you're set. That would put you a bit over your price range, but they're all pretty high quality items that have worked reliably for me for years now.

A great start would be this one at £160

Or for a bit more, but with a more versatile airbrush

The Ultra will likely see you through for a considerable period before you look to upgrade.

As someone that owns too many airbrushes, the advice from Rik and Horst is bang on point. Both compressors are basically the same, and the three airbrushes are each fantastic.

As you're in the UK, have a look for barwell bodyworks, the guy has a great rep and will look after you.

Barwell are also good, I've been to them for some spares for my Badger brush, however they don't do H&S stuff.

My experience with the Ultra is that it's pretty forgiving, easy to maintain and has a nice weight and feel to it, my Badger is a lot less forgiving and far lighter.

One thing to steer clear of is the cheaper airbrushes (£10-£30) they don't seem to be consistent enough in their manufacturing to be reliable, I have one for putting varnish through and that's it.
