I am starting to move into slightly more competitive gaming. At this stage, I have by no means mastered the game, but I am going to try and give it a go at a higher level.

Below is a list I have pretty much settled on to try and hit the ITC circuit next year. This is not an army list thread, so I'm not looking for list advice here (If you would like to, it is in the army list thread) but I am looking for opinions on powers. There's a couple that for me are quite obvious. For example death hex on Ahriman. I know I am going to want at least one glamour and weaver. Warptime probably for the prince. But what else should I be looking at? I see a LOT of people running Tzeenches firestorm but I just do not see the Value in it.

All comments welcomed. Here's the list.

Ahriman on disc

13 Cultists
9 Rubrics, 8 warplamers

I run psychic heavy list and usually find devoting certain roles to each caster helps with picking powers. The way I usually run things is as follows

Ahirman: (Spells slinger for Mortal Wounds)
Smite, Doom Bolt, ZTzeencth Firestorm, (Any way to get more Mortal Wounds on Targets)

Exalted Sorcerer (This is a Buff Sorcerer)
Weaver and Glamour

Deamon Prince (This is the assault Monster)
Warptime, Diabolic Strength)

I have been running three Princes

Prince (Support Prince)
Prescience, Temporal Manip.

Prince (Back up Prince)
Warptime, Gaze Of Fate)

This usually covers the field with Psychic Options and a lot of Versatility and Dispells.

Also Death Hex should go on Ahriman or Magnus, they are the one have +1 or +2 to cast, so the higher WC power should be beared by them.

That's pretty close to my set up. Also worth pointing out that chaos familiar can boon any spell to an aspiring sorcerer, which can be clutch if you've lost your dex hexxer, for example.
