I seem to recall discussion somewhere of there being four different versions of the contents of the envelope. As of now though, I've seen five different cards - three are on 4chan and I was lucky enough to get two different envelopes in my set. EDIT: The count is up to nine cards now.

Here's the list of what I know of so far:

Spoiler:

Augmetic of Entanglement: Adjacent and visible hostiles must reroll attacks against the explorer
Augmetic of Rejuvenation: Each turn, the explorer can remove a wound or turn a grievous wound into a regular wound
Augmetic of Speed: Add 1 to move value
Augmetic of Dominance: First gambit each turn is automatically a critical success
Augmetic of Endurance: Vitality rolls are made using two dice instead of one and take the best result
Augmetic of Fury: Once per turn, after taking a weapon action, the explorer can take the same action again without having to spend an activation dice.
Augmetic of Strength: If the explorer inflicts a wound or grievous wound on a hostile in an adjacent hex, place an additional wound counter on the target.
Augmetic of Resistance: Defense rolls are made using two dice instead of one and take the best result.
Augmetics of Precognition: when a destiny roll is made, before discarding duplicate dice you can change the result of one die to a result of your choice.

Any others?

One more added to the list above, so six variants in total. Any others out there?

Wait what ? The mysterious enveloppe is just a bonus for your explorator ? I thought it was some mysterious cliffhanger from Blackstone Fortress that would shake the lore forever. Way to hype for nothing.

Or am I mistaking it with another enveloppe ?

Well, I don't think it's a cliffhanger/lore changer but the envelopes all have one more piece of information in them - the same across all the cards:

Spoiler:

The device makes the explorer immortal - it's almost like an afterthought on the card. He can be taken out of action but he can't actually die. Dark Heresy referred to forbidden xeno-tech known as Halo Devices that made their bearers immortal - but at a terrible price. I suppose it's possible the discovery of the victorious explorer could play a role in future expansions.

Out of curiosity, how many envelopes and cards come with the game?

I've heard about the data vault and the 'vault' that is the goal of the game. I'm assuming the cards you're reading from have to do with the later.

There's one "Hidden Vault" card/envelope per boxed game. I got lucky and had two in mine.

Ooh now that's a nice info, thanks. That definitely sets things up for more to come.

Today I saw a seventh card. That's a lot more than I was expecting.
