So the idea with this list was to make use of the catachan trait with as many random attack weapons as possible all while maintaining the heavy death world theme of the army. Instead of making use of bulky and heavy leman russ battle tanks, the 65th opts to take quicker, lighter and more maneuverable hellhounds, both for their smaller size and profile, and also for their deadly flamer and melta based weapons. As with most vienam era films, I've opted to make a lot more use of boots on the ground fighters, rather than putting them into transports.
Hellhammer because, hellhammer!
I'm hoping to test it out in some fun narrative style games.

Like the idea.
First I would suggest dropping all those vox casters. They are really a waste. If you want to spend points on your infantry, give your sergeants power swords.
Second, drop your mortars and try for another wyvern. They actually benefit from your doctrine. Keep Harker near then.
Third, drop the storm bolters and heavy stubbers on the vehicles. They will not be hitting effectively.
Fourth, consider running the Hellhounds as the artima pattern as they are cheaper and generally better.
Fifth, give your Hellhounds and devil dogs heavy flamers. The point savings for changing to artima should cover it.
Sixth, reorganize your list. You cannot use the doctrine in an auxiliary detatchment. Take a bunch of company commanders and psykers and run a supreme command detatchment instead.
Seventh, drop the platoon commanders. The extra company commanders will give you all the orders you need. Instead, run priests.
Eighth, your psykers should be running psychic barrier and nighshroud. They need to be casting on the super heavy every turn. The other powers are far less useful.
Ninth, don’t make Iron Hand the warlord. He is to big a target, and that trait is bad. Stick the warlord trait on one of the new company commanders, and stick him in the back so he won’t die. Make his trait old grudges and stick him next to the super heavy along with Harker.
Tenth, I know it isn’t the most fluffy, but consider running Lord Commissar instead of the psykers as they are cheaper and astropaths are generally better.

I have three of them, you can't have any more than that due to the rule of 3. Plus, what's wrong with having some melta support, it's good for taking down hefty big beasts!

Data sheet allows for a unit to have 3 hellhounds and you’re allowed to have 3 units with the same data sheet. Hello 9 hellhounds. Also 9 Russ if you’re that way inclined which I personally am. The rule of 3 is NOT a matched play rule. Its a suggestion for organized play. You said you wanted to play some fun narrative style games. And melta sucks.

The rule of 3 is NOT a matched play rule. Its a suggestion for organized play. You said you wanted to play some fun narrative style games. And melta sucks.
What's wrong with the melta?? I use it a lot and it's hella fun. It's a great tool for rolling up and popping some big nasty your opponent has!
Beta rules are mandatory at my store, you won't get a game with a single person if you ask to ignore them. :/

Yeah, it would be hard to find, but as someone pointed out, these are squadronable, so I retooled the list, trying to maintain the fluff, the focus on the fun characters, while also balancing it out a bit. Keep in mind some of these points will drop so i will have to update it post Saturday.
