As a refugee coming from the Mantic Forums I wanted to move my Fishmen army over here. I built it for almost 2 years but it is still growing, so I'd be glad if you coming on this journey with me.
The overall theme is an underwater theme, I added minis from lots of different companies to the army, e.g. Mantic, GW, Reaper, Antimatter Games, but also converted toys from Schleich or complete scratchbuilds.
I wanted to achieve an unique look that makes me hang on the project (what still works ) and to step out of my comfort zone trying NMM or modelling.
This project is by far my favourite I ever did - and has also a special value to me. It is the one which lifted me from my hobby absence and lit the fire again.
This said please prepare for a flood of pictures.

Thanks guys The fun part for me is that KoW allows a wide space for interpretation. All that matters gamewise is the footprint of a unit. I also play mostly beer&prezel games at home, so no problem for my friends if I tell them before what unit runs as what.

Thanks for your kind words. Good to see both of you here! Still not familiar with this forum but lots of interesting new stuff to explore (although I don't play 40k anymore ).
Maybe I'll also upload some other projects of mine onto this board... still have another underwater (40k) army lying around that could be of interest...

@jellyfish: I run these as water elementals. Almost scratchbuilt. Used hats from mushroom minis by a small kickstarter from a company called Bog's Minis (they do have a facebook group). Painted these with different patterns. Then added hot glue on top. The nettles are wire and GS. Used also GS world's wire tool to form the GS. Between the caps and the nettles I added an upside down plastic birthday candle stand.
Added some wip pictures.
@mermaids: These run as Nokken (well... they are in the showcase most of the time). Used GS's Wild Rider upper bodies. The tail is made from Milliput. Scales are painted as freehands.
finished some coral people to add more violet to the overall army colour scheme. will run them as a second horde of naiad ensnarers (or not yet specified allies)
Thanks! In case you mean the Naiads' shields you're right. Started with Vallejo Royal Blue, added more and more Goblin Green until pure Goblin Green. After let it dry, I washed the whole Shield with Agrax Earthshade.
Thank you! The big one will be a horde of Gigas (want to field King Crabs... ). Maybe I'll add a rider later, don't sure yet.
Dusted the cabinet last week and used the chance to take some pics of my whole KoW-Collection: Trident Realms (this time the whole army), Wood Dwarves (allied with Gnomes which I run as a count as Goblin Vanguard warband) and the Zangarmarsh (swamp) themed FoN Army

Aiming to have a nice collection of every unit type, so I can build an army list without worrying if I have this unit type or this unit type Looking forward to your basing - I already did it in green with my wood dwarves. Went from old Citadel Dark Angels Green to Goblin Green and after that I added yellow to the Goblin Green. Nice to emulate light breaking through trees

Thank you The turtles are part toys part converted minis part scratchbuilds. Used some Reaper Bones spikeshell warriors, cut away the legs and arms and added fins with GS. The smallest turtles are the Spikeshell's shields with simple GS head & feet. The bigger ones are painted Schleich Toys.
