I am asking for clarification.
To attempt an Act of Faith, select a unit in your army that has the Acts of Faith ability and then choose the Act of Faith you wish to attempt.
I can choose a unit in a transport since the afformentioned ability does not say on the battlefield just if they have the aof ability.

on the other hand Nobz they decided it was in the best interest of ork society that they "Go Green" as such they specifically modified their warbikes to not make giant smoke, dust, grit, clouds. Instead they are all about driving with clean air, one might say their bikes Gak out rainbows.

Read the transports section in the core rules, pg 9.
Embarked units cannot normally do anything or be affected in any
way whilst they are embarked.
Act of faith would affect them in any way, which is not allowed by the transports rule.

In this instance you are correct, as the ability is not passive and contingent on something the unit is already doing. You have to select them, which you can't do while they are embarked.

It doesnt matter if the rule is passive or active. A rule needs specific permission to be able to affect embarked models, like the KFF.

Normally. The rule says normally. If the unit does something that triggers a rule then the rule applies. You just can't choose to use an optional rule without explicit permission.

No act of faith for units embarked. You need to get off that repressor to fire your meltaguns twice.

Correct, but AoF no longer allow you to shoot twice.
