My brother gave me his old models and one of them was an Armorcast Falcon tank. It was interesting seeing and comparing how different it is to the later GW Eldar Falcon tank. Wondering if anyone else has any Armorcast models and what they might be?

I had several of the titans and a few of the other things like one of the Nid slug tanks back in the early 00's.

Yes. I have 1 of the old Armorcast Falcons. It is my favorite design. The flying 'wedge' as opposed to the current 'horseshoe'. It was the superior resin. The Falcon from Epicast and the first ForgeWorld were pretty bad.

I also have the Wave Serpent x6
I also have the Tempest Super Heavy x3 (since they came in 3's in the battle groups and look so cool on the table)
I also have 2 Revenant Scout Titans (since they came in 2's for the scout squadrons and also look awesome on the table)
I have the Destroyer Knight Titan
I have the Phantom Titan with multiple weapons and the Warlock Conversion from Merlin.

The coolest collection back then was from Rasmus, I believe in Norway.

The world of 1990s 40k resin is rich and mysterious. Armorcast is the biggest name, but other companies also made models.

I have a few older resin pieces:

I used to have a Reaver Titan that I modified the weapons on to use some of the Vehicle Design Rules in 3rd-4th Ed. Eventually sold it.

I also used to do commission painting, and I did a whole bunch of them for a guy. Including one of my favorite paintjobs on a "miniature", the Gargant.

In my collection I've got:
Eldar
--------
1 Phantom Titan,
1 Tempest grav tank,
3 Wave Serpents,
1 Falcon (complete),
1 Falcon (broken & missing gun barrel, inherited from a friend who quit long ago)

Orks
-------
1 Great Gargant
1 drop pod (looks like a crumpled soup can sticking out of the ground)
1 Spleen Rippa - I'm going to use this as a gun wagon come Jan/Feb. So I guess I'll have to dig it out of storage soon.

Tyranids - apologies, I don't recall the names of these 2 pieces atm....
-------------
1 slug thing with a big-ass bio cannon & armored neck shield
1 slug thing with an armored carapace & shooty pincer arms

Imperial
------------
3 Baneblades (one super detailed kit with the metal track upgrade pack)
3 Shadowswords
3 Baneblade/Shadowsword combos - center hull piece is removable so you can make either
8 Drop Pods
3 Termite pods
2 Warhound Titans (and 4 of each arm so I can make any combo )
2 Reiver Titans (and 6 of each weapon so I can make any combo )

Sorry, no pics as all are currently in storage as before Oct. I hadn't played for 2.5 editions.
And even though I used my Imperial pods when I dug out my SW upon returning? I put them back in storage 2 weeks later when I replaced them with GW plastic kits.

Thanks!

Yeah those Revenant models get a lot of hate, but I still dig-em. I much prefer the older style of Warhound Titan, too.

Some of those models are just so clean and crisp. GW has come a long way with details...but sometimes the simpler look was far superior.

Here is an example when GW 'details' made the new stuff as ugly as you can get.

Don't discount the early designs.....in many cases they are superior.

Yeah that Eldar shift in aesthetic was really jarring.

With the Phantom Titan I can really see what they were going for, but the grace of the model got lost. It only made it about 80 or 90% to where it needed to be.

I have an old Armorcast Shadowsword and Baneblade - prior to when they turned it into an either/or kit where you could swap the “core”.

I need to take better pics, but these are them, in the very back row:

I try not to, the Tyranid models in particular are very ugly.

the malenfactor wasn't too bad....at least compared to the ground hog looking Carnifexs of today. I can see some liking the new exocrine and some liking the old exocrine...both have merits. The Haruspex was just not very inspiring Ill agree. The other ones not on the market I have not seen in person.

I believe the idea was to have a constructed from wraithbone armoured look. Better to go with elegantly grown...
