Subject: Bargain old miniatures at Firestorm Games (identification help welcom!) - giving them new life!

Firestorm Games in Cardiff have recently taken a collection of mostly vintage figures, many citadel and some of the old citadel box sets. I picked up as much as I could take but hopefully the rest will go to good homes and if you’re local take a look. There is a lot of pre-slotta miniatures for people collecting those. I’ve photographed the stuff, I’m fairly good with the older figures but quite a few of these I’m not sure on exactly where they’ve featured in catalogues.
Assorted fantasy, probably all citadel, I’m unclear what ranges most of these are from so would like some help.
One of the early Regiments of Renown - Disciples Of The Red Redemption. Excited for these at last.
Dr Who!
Assorted early IG, some I’ve never seen before, such as the woman in the top row. Are any from non standard sets like talisman?
These I could do with some help. I know the inquisitor, the early Space Orc and the Eldar is obvious. The origin of the rest I’m unsure of.
Judge Dredd sky surfer, never seen one for sale before, very happy.

These old Champions of Chaos were another treat. 8/9 remain in the set, they are very well sculpted for their age with some dynamic poses, optional heads and shields. Fortunately all these have a head remaining in the set.

Too bad this is an ocean away from me. There's some cool stuff in there. I love the old metal models like that because they are so full of character that much of the more modern stuff lacks.

Yep, one of the sad things about being in the US. We don't have Warhammer stuff at charity shops normally. :(

Even in the UK I've rarely seen warhammer stuff in charity shops or auction sales.Heck I think I've only seen a block of early White Dwarf magazines for sale at the market auction in the last year (sadly they went for over £50 which was more than I was willing to spend on a curiosity purchase).

Shidd, BRB im grabbing the bus to Cardiff!
No jokes aside that is an amazing bargain and I am jealous in many extremes! Get what you can, its a rare haul there and you do not want some timmy grabbing hold of new toy army mens and battering them into featureless smush.

I once got lucky and purchased Advanced Heroquest and Warhammerquest for £13 at my local store - the Heroquest box had a lot of extra oldhammer minis in as well! It was a lucky find TBH and I grabbed them whilst I could. Apart from that the only time I have gotten so lucky is when I managed to get three boxes of old (preslotta to early slotta) minis from a lady who was giving away her sons old collection after she failed to find a buyer.

Thanks for some of the IDs guys, there’s some lovely things in here I want to do well. I’m going to spend the Christmas holiday trying to get as many as I can painted, they deserve some love.
I’ve added a Paranoia robot from the bits box, thanks for the pointer Orlando. And I had a spare IG guardsman that makes their compliment up to ten. Some time spent paint stripping and basing ready for undercoating. The Chaos Champions will be next up for basing.

While the weather is a bit rubbish I’ve prepared more for undercoating.
After paints stripping as best can be managed I’ve done some repair work to replace/repair broken weapons from the bits box.
The set had lost most of the shields as well so a using this press mould kit I’ve made some replacements of these and a couple other suitable vintage shields
All ready to go once there’s a break in the weather!

Remarkable quality on these, very pleased with the result as I’ve made little use of the heat set moulding stuff before.

The previous figures that were based are now undercosted. I’ve come back home so will look at them soon.
But on the way I went back to the shop, and they still had piles! I assumed they would have been snapped up, so I bought another 20.
Right, any help with IDing specific ranges is welcome.
In the top row I recognise a recent model, one of the cursed company, and next to it an other red redemptionist.
Second row has various elves and paladins, at least one has no clear GW or TSR marking
Bottom row has two more Judge Dredd sky surfers (no boards but I’ll make replacements), two more citadel timelords and a zygon that doesn’t correspond to any of the Dr Who ranges I know, (Harlequin, Citadel, Fine Art Castings, RAMF), yet it is a good quality casting.
