Subject: Macro Plasma Redemptor Vs. Heavy Plasma Hellblaster squad?

I'm starting and Emperor's Spears army, and I'm kind of indecisive which would perform better? I feel for strictly a long range gun line, the heavy incinerators would be good, but the dreadnought is cheaper, has more wounds than the 5 man squad, a better weapon (That might get more shots) and can benefit from the Spears tactic.
It would fit my armies plan of slowly advancing across the board with Reivers and the like to engage in glorious melee.
But the long range stationary gun line might be good as sort of covering fire.
What do you guys think?

The Redemptor is a huge badass looking shooty, smashy robot with the remnants of one of the Emperor's finest superhuman soldier's body/mind fused inside... Not sure what the debate is for?

Heavy incinerators are a trap, don't take them. Only a 6 inch improvement in range and a point of strength. In return you lose rate of fire and any chance at mobility, and they cost more.
For the dread it depends on what the rest of your army is. If you have other vehicles then the dread may be good, if that is the only vehicle you have then more infantry might be better. Also keep in mind that against a majority of targets you are going to get equal or more wounds out of the Dakka varient (heavy and reg onslaught) than you will out of the plasma.

Sometimes, you just gotta take something cause the model is freakin cool... |

The Redemptor is going to benefit more from the Emperor's Spears' Chapter Tactics.

Onslaughts could be good with the dread and the chapter tactic. I would just go standard plasma incinerator for hells maybe assault. Why don't you take both a dread and hells? Forget the reivers. Depends what the rest of the army is, if no other vehicles forget the dread, if have some other vehicles, maybe then. Slowly progressing across a board as a marine player... not an awesome option anymore (not that it was before, but nowadays...).
