Hi, I'm looking for people who love the Warhammer hobby in the Denver area. I know there are a ton of great places in Denver to play that do regular meetings, but I'm specifically looking for people who like painting, building terrain, doing narrative campaigns, building armies; the hobby itself, not just throwing grey plastic on the table and rolling dice. If that's you, then hit me up. I've been playing for a long time and I love meeting like-minded people who love this hobby, and ultimately I'd love to organize a great, well-run Apocalypse game so that we can have ourselves a blast with everything we've got on the table.

Hey, welcome to Denver. The main game stores for Warhammer are Denver Central games, the Colpar hobby store in Aurora (Saturday is free play I think, hear it's good for a pickup game but I haven't been yet.) and the GW store.

I am a new W40k player but longtime fan of the lore so I'm in it for the flavor. I can host games in Castle Rock, but I lack terrain. I also only have 1500 points at the moment =/

Other than that, the biggest recommendation I can give you is to drop by the GW store on CO Blvd. There's always pickup games happening, and worst case scenario the store has a ton of regulars who are friendly and knowledgeable and are more than happy to play a game of W40k or Sigmar or even Kill Team or Necromunda.

The website says the GW store on CO Blvd closes at 6 PM on weekdays+Friday and 7 PM on weekends. Are these really their hours? I've never bothered going, because I'm usually free only in the evenings.

Yes those hours are accurate. I believe the Colpar store in Aurora has sundays after 6pm but I have never been.

Colpar usually has a couple dozen people playing late into the evening on Saturday, even into early into Sunday. Look up The WarCollege on facebook.

Are any of you up by the store in Loveland? <Northside of Denver> Because I like actually doing lore battles and building stories for my pieces.
