Hi Folks,
I'm not quite sure, if this is the right place to post that question. Show mercy, if not and just move it to the right space, please.
I'm searching for possible Harlequine Troupe Master Models.
I've seen some conversion out of the winged CW-Autarch, or something like this. That kind of thing would be okay, but does anyone know, if there are nice complete models for that purpose?
The Artel W and War Game Exclusive stuff doesn't seem to fit all too well for the funny - long ears and I can't find any other fitting Space-Elf Clown models on the interwebs...
thank you for your help (in advance)

Old metal models work great, converted wyches from the DE range. But I don't know 3rd party models that work.

Conversely, the old metal harlys are products of their time, and don't look good next to the new range (mores the pity, I love the old pewter models). Best option I've had is kitbashing with the full harly range. Using the solitaire as a base, you can do wonders with the toupe parts. DE and craftworld parts definitely mix it up, but the harlys have this weird feel to them.
Take a look at the AoS deepkin range, I've found they are great conversions for any pointy ears.

I don't want the best army, just one that isn't an exercise in picking up my models by turn 3.

If I had 100 + Drukhari kits all in plastic to choose from, or 100 + Sisters kits, I think I'd be more likely to be receptive to Space Marine player's complaints about anything.

Indeed, I have about 25 old metal Harlie models, all painted up and played as a Harlie detachment in my Aeldari army.
I guess you could get them still at ebay.

Really?
The Solitaire seems like something of a pain to convert, given the way it's assembled.
You can't just swap out limbs or such but have to physically cut them off, and the hood makes head-swaps virtually impossible.

I've converted a ton of harlequin, eldar and dark eldar bits together for my harlequin-themed eldar soup army, and it's easy to make something dark eldar/eldar look harlequin-y, tough to make a harlequin that looks dark eldar/eldar-y and still have it recognizably be a harlequin.
best models I'd use as a base would be daughters of khaine I guess, for more brutal/sexy harlequins?

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"
"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"
"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"
"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!" |
