Does anyone know how long the construction of a Fortress Monastery takes upon the designated world?

The only real source on this is that the Space Wolves had theirs in the planning stages even before the Emperor found Russ. I'd imagine that it would be a few decades before they expect a chapter to take over that particular planet.

It takes several decades to create a chapter from scratch, but it rarely takes more that a year to build a fort like the Fortress Monasteries are attributed to be. And if it’s prefabricated, it probably takes even less time.

Also, many Chapters take for their Monastery a pre-existing facility that dates back thousands of years, or they simply inhabit a large warp vessel.

Lots of variables - size, location, facilities, geography, orbital structures, current inhabitation.
