I'm playing around with some ideas to add about 10 Skyweavers to an Alaitoc Eldar force. I've always played bike-heavy lists and with Skyweavers being the "it" Aeldari bike next to Spears, I'd like to play some.

But I don't want to spend $200 on models that might be a points nerf eventually and I'd also like to continue using my existing dozen or so bikes
So my idea is to get 2 boxes of Dark Eldar Hellions (10 total models), put them on back of large oval bases that leave enough room for me to place my existing bikes entirely onto those bases.
So my existing Windriders would be "pulling" the Hellions like jetbike mini-chariots.

The Hellions would be modeled as unique Corsair type Aeldari that match my existing Eldar paint scheme.
Here are my existing WRs:
Spoiler:

So the Hellion would be on its own flight stand at the back of a large Oval base (the same size as my Characters) so that the WRs can simply be placed on top at the front.
I could possibly put a chain or rope tether at the front of the Hellion Skyboard (replacing the Splinter carbines) that would be able to attach on an off the WR.
Magnetize some Haywire cannon underneath and Bingo! I get to continue using the WRs I've played in every edition since 4th without permanently altering them if WRs become Troops again.

I'd also use some greenstuff to give them boots/shoes instead of bare feet, give them helmeted heads and paint them with body suits instead of bare skin

Thoughts?

Sounds like a legit conversion. Size should be roughly equal, which is the major point.

I was just eyeing skyweavers myself this morning thinking of bike autarch conversion fodder.

I've had this idea for a long time, but for some reason I am still hesitant to pull the trigger.

I still like my WRs as they are, but with Knights being very popular, I just don't get to use them competitively.
My fear is that I will get started on them, them some change/shift will happen to make them not Tourney worthy.
I suppose I should get the Harlie Codex first.
