Cant really get perfect straight line with my soft little brush, i feel a hard tip would do a good job, i dont even actauly know if this is a thing for edge highlighting, but i saw once for sale a hard tipped brush and thought maybe its common to use that?

Different people will have different tastes. If you can paint with very little pressure you can make your soft brush work. Are you painting edges with the side of the brush? Because you shouldn't be painting with the tip when you edge highlight. What exactly is the problem you are encountering? A hard bristle brush may actually be harder to use depending on your issue.

Without knowing your methods or the problem you feel you're experiencing I'd say try to focus on painting with the side of your brush, held perpendicularly to the edge you're painting, and use the amount of pressure you apply to regulate the thickness of the line. This way you can trace the existing line instead of trying to "draw" it yourself with the tip of the brush.

Maybe post some photos? I have no idea what a hard brush is? I'm imagining a stiff yard brush. Any normal paint brush can be used for edge highlighting, it's probably more that you need to refine your technique a little.

Artificial brushes tend to be harder. I think that you have to buy few different brushes and experiment with them, there's no other way, everyone have their own preferences, and there are no canonical which brush or paint is the best.
