Hello all,

A few years ago there were some Eavy Metal Guides, single images with all the different paints and techniques (drybrush, wash, thinned to so many parts etc) for a number of different Marine Chapters, Deathguard and the like. I believe they were part of a course or event and were more detailed than stuff in the magazines. Does anyone know where I could find them? Im really interested in the Deathguard one as well as anything else that's out there. Im pretty sure I had a few but I cant seem to find them. Thanks in advance

I'm not going to re-read the lunacy that is the last few pages of this thread, but I'd be very surprised if anyone actually said that. Even that one guy banging on about how relatively difficult it might be for an Inquisitor to acquire power armour, I don't think even that guy said that.

I don't know where you could find the official GW guides, but the YouTube channel Miniac has some guides where he tries to replicate the same style for several chapters. The same techniques pretty much apply across the board with different color schemes. The 'Eavy Metal style can be boiled down to pin washing and several shades of extreme edge highlights, basically.

For the physical issue, it's White Dwarf June 2017 "Paint Splatter" has Death Guard (and Poxwalkers).

For the digital issue, if you have Android or iOS, it's free in White Dwarf app. You want the Best of White Dwarf 2016/17
. It has a load of painting tutorials in there that are probably more useful being as they feature currently available colours.

It has...
Primaris Space Marine Captain
Lord of Contagion Death Guard
Poxwalkers
The Yncarne
Kairos Fateweaver
Tzaangor Skyfires
Blue Horrors
Stormcast Eternals Lord-Aquilor
Basing Guides
Tricks and finishing touches
Tinting techniques
and a bunch of other modelling techniques.

Not bad for zero pennies.
