Hi Folks.
I've done a search on this forum and can't seem to find anything relating to this specific question, so here goes;

Does a maulerfiend have to declare that all of its base (4) attacks are using the lasher tendril profile to get the 6 extra attacks.

I always interpreted it so that as they are 'additional attacks' made when the bearer fights, I can choose to hit 4 times with the fists and then get the 6 bonus attacks. My opponent in my last game was pretty adamant that I had to use the lashers base to get the attacks.

Has this been faq'd?

Many thanks in advance for any responses

You don't have to declare any attacks to be made with it's Lasher Tendrils profile to get the extra attacks. It's the exact same wording as the chainsaw rule, you simply get 6 bonus attacks with that weapon whenever you fight. You can make 4 attacks with the Maulerfiend fists if you desire, and you'll get the 6 bonus Lasher Tendrils attacks as well.
BRB FAQ wrote:Q: A chainsword has the following ability: ‘Each time the bearer fights, it can make 1 additional attack with this weapon’. If, for example, a Khorne Berzerker is armed with a chainsword and chainaxe, does he make two attacks with the chainaxe and then one additional attack with the chainsword, or does he have to split his attacks (making at least one attack with the chainsword) to be able to make the additional attack with the chainsword?
A: He can make two attacks with the chainaxe, then one additional attack with the chainsword.
