Hi Dakka

So I've put together a 2000 point Brigade. This is my first list in 8th since the Codex arrived. I have been collecting and painting my Ork army for over a decade. I'm a slow painter. I appreciate Deathskulls Kultur may not be the best for some of the units, but I love the army wide invulnerable save and objective secured on all infantry. And I really don't want to repaint my army a colour that isn't blue. The thought of rebasing 120 models is headache enough. I'd like your thoughts on any tweaks I could make.

That's 2000 points on the nose.

Tankbustas go in the Trukk and bust stuff. Shoota Boyz are jumped turn 1 to provide an instant threat. Lootas sit on home objective and spit dakka. Big Mek shoots stuff next to the Mek Guns so he can fix them up. Deff Dreads teleport in on turn 2. One of them gets a ramming speed charge, while the other hopes Ere We Go comes off. Hopefully pop some wounds with rerolling KMBs before they charge. Warboss advances with Choppa Boyz mobs. Kommandos pop up when and where they are needed. Same with the Deffkoptas. Grots sit on objectives, screen stuff, or just die.

Any advice or changes. Not sure about Warlord trait or second Weirdboy power.

Nice list

The only issue I see is the trukk with bustas, which in basically the only armored thing on the board, and it will die turn 1 every time. I'd avoid tankbustas, field a mek with KMB instead and more mek gunz. Not sure about lootas as well but at least they can expolit the gretchins to survive. I'd also cut the big shootas from the boyz squad as deathskulls would love rokkits instead thanks to the re-rolls. One rokkit in each squad would be awesome if you have the spared points.

Don't rebase your models, buy cheap adapters instead.

Yeah, was a bit worried about the lone Trukk issue and all the opponents anti tank aiming at it turn one.

Keen to try and keep the Tankbustas though. Do people think leaving out the Trukk and Da Jumping them instead of the Boyz turn one is an option?

Or, thinking about trying to squeeze in another Trukk to move alongside the Tankbusta Trukk to block LoS from anti tank. What would people think about dropping one of Kommando squads and squad of Boyz squads to 10 models then trying to get Nobz, Burnas or Boyz in another Trukk. Or trying to grab a Wagon of some kind?

Thinking about Kunning but Brutal as the Warlord trait...

So, I've made a couple of changes to the list. I ditched the Lootas and the Trukk and bought the Tankbustas a Battle Wagon for extra protection, then added to the Mek Guns with the remaining points.

It looks like a pretty clean list.
The only real dead weight is the dreads. Could change them out for a few more Mek Guns.

The Eternity Gate

Dreads can be dead weight if walking but spend the CP to tellyport them and they are a real distraction carinfex.

I'd try to squeeze a rokkit in each boy unit to take advantage of the deathskull reroll. If you can use index units I'd take the cheaper copters with KMB's over rokkits as they are dirt cheap and with deathskulls pretty decent. Again if index is used get your boss on a bike. Brutal but kunning 100% on warboss. It's very good.
