ultramarines double spearhead + lord of war
Guilliman
2 smash captains
- 3 crusaders (storm Bolter, 2 hurricane Bolter, assault cannon)
- 3 predators (4 las cannons, storm Bolter)
1992pts
Guilliman stands in the middle of the 6 tanks. 120 shots from the crusaders followed by 12 lascannons and 12 storm bolters. Smash captains drop down when needed.
Fair bit of fire power when it is re-rolling everything.

Looks cool but I am sorry that I have to be negative.
The firepower comes from this list looks great on paper, but in reality they won't get to ultilize themself. here are tons of units out there that can have a charge threat distance of more than 24", via Stratgem, psychic powers or brute faction granted ability and innate speed. So what I can foresee is, your tanks will at most fire once, maybe after playing hide and seek for a while to get into firing position, and even with that many shots I still worry the stacking -1 to hit penalty and probable inv saves of those hordes would drop your efficient. After that you will be tied down by those chaffs in combat for the entire of rest of the game and your guns are wasted (at most only going to hit them on 6s as you are only able to fire overwatch shots after that in every turn).

To be honest it will be a hit and miss list. If you're cleaver with positioning you could stop a bunch of genestealers or lucky rolling orks with da jump tying up your entire army. You will be a threat to both armour and hoarde. A lot like the 3 fire raptor, dark angel lists that were doing the rounds before they had a massive hike in points.
Only problem being you'll have zero board pressure. And really ressilant armies like nurgle and knights will make you an unhappy boy when they're scoring objectives and don't get tabled early enough for you to catch up the points.
But there's worst ideas for lists out there!

Thanks for the comments. Put together a battalion + spearhead as well. Not sure which is better.
- guilliman
- tigurius
- 2 captain with thunder hammer/shield/jump pack
- 3 units of 5 scouts
- 2 crusaders with storm bolters
- 3 predators with 4 las each
Comes in at 2000pts.

Isn't guilliman a LoW? In that case you need another HQ to run battallion+spearhead. If you deploy the three predators as a squadron you don't need the spearhead to fit all five tanks.

Definately better for the scouts. That few extra CP for auspex scan and being able to screen out with the scouts will definately make you less suseptable to deepstrike charges. Plus guilliman, smash captains and tigi will beast most things that do manage to get in.
