I'm guessing that's an homage to the Macharius tank. Is Mortian a play on words for the old Mordian line?

It's a cool kit. Bigger than a standard Russ but much smaller than an actual Macharius.

No. It was designed by a German guy who went by the nickname Mort (which is derived from his actual name).

Yeah. I checked yesterday after seeing this thread and it was already listed as out of stock. These things would be great alternatives to Death Korps leman russes, and about the same price as Forgeworld, but you can never find them!

One of them filthy casuals...

The tank pictured was out of stock 20 minutes after the initial post when I checked just prior to my post above (the second post in the thread) FWIW.

It's a shame, because this is probably one of the best third party tanks in terms of actually fitting the Imperial aesthetic. I would have liked to have picked up 2-3 of them. I'll just have to hope that he does another run at some point in the future.

Of all the Imperial Guard stuff I offloaded years ago, I'm glad I held onto the 3 of these I have. I also wish I'd held on to my Tinner's tanks too, but they're off elsewhere in someone's hobby room, hopefully seeing good use.

The email that went out about this website to the original backers said it would be starting next week. So this is a preview.

Nice, was hoping that these open out for wider sale. Will add these to my wish list.

Looking further, they'd look good as a basis for some sort of large self propelled artillery or rocket launcher. I'm picturing a large enclosed compartment with a large cannon sticking out

On moon miranda.

I have 3 of these, I picked them up...like 10 or 11 years ago during 5E.

They're awesome but a PITA to assemble as all the tracks are individual pieces aside from those on the top of the track.

Glad to see them back.

The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.
