The death guard codex has several demon units described, but their points are missing from the units index. I know that chapter approved added a few units, but still left out a few others. I’m at work so don’t have the book in front of me, but I believe Nurglings, and plague bearers, maybe plague drones as well.

I also Notice when building my list in BattleScribe the demons are not an available choice in the death guard section.

So if the demons are in the codex, are they a part of the death guard or not?

Thnx,

GG.

If the daemons dont have the DEATH GUARD keyword (plaguebearers dont have it) you cant include them in a DEATH GUARD detachment, you could use them in a NURGLE detachment, but you would lose the DG chapter tactic and whatever special rules they have.

The Nurgle daemons have been included in the DG codex for summoning. As p5Freak says if you include them in one detachment you lose the DG benefit of inexorable advance but if you summon them you don't.

If you want to use them for battlescribe in the same detachemtn you can do it when you are creatng the roster you create the detachment then you add another faction to that detachment.

If you intend to use daemons though you're almost always better off running a separate daemons detachment.
