Fellow Dakkites, I need some opinions, I want to paint a craft world Eldar army in black, turquoise blue, and dark green. The armor panels on the guardians would be black with turquoise blue edge highlights and dark green for the sashes and cloaks. Non armored areas would also be turquoise blue. Eye lenses would be either red or blue. Any input would be appreciated, thanks

Do you have a squad of guardians to experiment on ?
When I was picking my scheme I painted up a couple of guardians in differnet ways to test washes and the tint of colour I wanted. I knew I wanted black and yellow but wasn't sure how. so I did this.

The one problem I see is the turquoise edges blend with the turquoise non-armored bits. Part of the reason you want to edge highlight is to make things pop, and that is going in the opposite direction and making them blend.
Other than that, I like the palette.

Seconded with Nevelon here: the highlights get lost in the mix. You might want to try to tone down the color on the non armored parts a bit, or highlight the black armor panels with light grey for example. For the cloths I would also pick a different color. Orange might work well, being the opposite color for turquoise.
If you want to keep the main colors to what you already mentioned, I would use the same green for the cloth as you used for the helmet and shoulder pads.
Just my two cents.

Thanks to everyone for the great and quick feedback, I think I’m going to go with black armor and grey highlights, and then maybe use the turquoise, maroon and a offwhite for sashes and cloaks. I’m gonna test it out.
