Hi,

This year I'm starting with a hobby goal of assembling an 'Intergalactic Marshals' (space police) warband for Star Breach (short promo - fantastic game for making all those random models you always wanted to..... or for just pitting Darth Vader against an XV88 Crisis Suit and watching the carnage ensue.....)

I'm gonna use the Concord Strike Squad from Warlord Games as my base, but I'm sort of stuck on colours. I'd really appreciate feedback on the colour schemes I've come up with so far:

Standard officer style 1:

Standard officer style 2:

SWAT troops style 1:

SWAT troops style 2:

(While I like this one a bit better, I'm concerned that the black and grey will just merge into one dark, indistinguishable blob from three feet away)

What options do you guys like better?
Do you have any better ideas on how I could paint them to look like police?

Thoughts and ideas are much appreciated!

EDIT: Link for Star Breach if anyone wants to check it out:

Of the options, I like Swat 1. Not a huge fan of white armor. For one, it’s a pain to paint, the other is that unless you are really good at weathering, it tends to look a little fake.

I agree that the second swat scheme is a little drab. You want the police to stand out a bit, not blend in.

All blue with black helmet, like the detroit police dept. in robocop circa 1987

If you want those minis to say "Police" and not "Soldier", it's got to be a dark blue like standard police uniforms.

Solid no to white armour from me dawg, that says UN peacekeepers (also available in white) more than cops.

Navy blue uniform, black armour imo - though the reverse could also be worth looking at (or navy uniform, mid blue armour)

I agree. I'd go for a dark blue, the Robocop one seems to be a good base. With such armour and weaponry they'll just look military otherwise.

blue is the "universal" one for a police force.
i would say a blue tone, mid or darker, dark grey as nr 2 if you need it. a standout colour would be either pure white or light yellow.

@OP: I'd suggest black & white ... to me that signals police far more than blue does

I kinda like #2, reminds me of the older Appleseed police landmates.
