As the title says. I'm trying to convert some IG autocannons into Maxim-style heavy bolters, but the standard heavy bolter belts that come are too short for this conversion. How can I make longer ones?

You can buy ammo belts (such as https://www.zinge.co.uk/products/ammo-belt-large-sprue-of-6-various), or there are greenstuff rollers to make them.

Id also say zinge.

alternatively if you have spares ammo boxs with belts you could just cut and glue 1 or two more to get the length you want (bending the belt before gluing to get the orientation you need) assuming you are only doing a few.
