I want to design some modular city terrain, and would it to have at least two or three roads that can hold any kind of model.
Is the Baneblade the widest vehicle? Or the Necron pyramid? Or something else from Forgeworld that I can't think of?
And how wide would such a thing be?
How wide are roads usually on your gaming tables?

Inches or metric are both fine.

Thanks for the help.

The Manta is almost certainly the widest. Though the Warlord and Stormbird might come close. I wouldn’t bother accounting for them, though. The Necron Tesseract Vault might be the widest in more common usage? It’s up in the air some, so it could float over sidewalks. A Baneblade width would probably be enough for most games.

Wow, that Manta is stupid huge. Sorry to anyone who spent the money on it, but I don't think my imperial roads will allow for that, because I might want a building or two...

I'll make the major roads 7.5" wide (a little extra including building setbacks) to allow for the Baneblade, per your advice.

Thanks a lot!

Warlord Titans are pretty big, but I'm not sure you're worried about playing Apoc games.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

The Grotsnik Corp Bump Feelerer 9,000. It only looks like several bricks crudely gaffer taped to a cricket bat.

Mix it up.
It's totally realistic that some models can't fit down some roads.
Tactically that's kinda fun.

I think that roads should be rhino width x2, personally

The manta holds the distiguish of being the only model that has parts of itself that are out of range of it's own gun (several actually).

It has 30" guns all along it's length and the guns on the wing tips can't shoot each other. At least in 7th when you measured from the guns.

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

I think Blackadder's Imperial Titan is going to hold the record for 'largest model' at well over a meter tall....

A Rhino makes a good 'lane width' standard, and from there you just have as many lanes in the road as makes sense.

CHAOS! PANIC! DISORDER!
My job here is done.
