Hey, so I just dug up my old airbrush that I bought a few years ago and never got a hang of and started experimenting a bit in the sink with the colors I have at home which are incidentally also a few years old (though they are still in good shape).

So the crux is that when I try to brush with low pressure in order to get some precision on smaller details the paint comes out spotty. What's causing this? Do I need to thin the paint further? Am I mishandling the airbrush or what's the deal?
I figure I might aswell learn to use it when I have it.

Any input would be appreciated.

Pictures would be great.

but from what i understand if its coming out thick and spotty you may need to thin your paints more for the lower pressure.

Would that I could, but unfortunately I don't have a camera good enough to show the small spotting.

So what about thinning it? Is it death incarnate to use tap water and everything but thinner solutions is punishable by death?

Meh i use tap water all the time.

IIRC, tap is just bad if you plan on pre thinning in bottles as minerals do things. but right there and then shouldn't be a problem.
