Theres a ITC oficial tournament coming soon in my local city and im looking to participate, i dont have a lot of models, neither the most competitive ones, but i managed to put this list, is the best of what i own, i know most likely im unable to win with this list, but i want some opinions, regarding if atleast i could do "well" in a competitive setting with it, some advices could be good, my idea is this:

Castle up with the Alpha legion, taking advantage of the -1 to hit, meanwhile the NL, take the offensive, also ive noticed that a lot of big charge squads like tzaangor ones, are very good target for morale, so the NL could help with a 2nd line of defense, also i know i will be facing knights or other tough factions, and thats why um bringing all the heavy weapons i can, the noise marines are great for taking hordes with their high volume of dice, the sorcereres are there for heavy magic support and protection, but also for some MW in case of need.

Battalion night lords

Unless you're already painted up I don't see what the night lords detachment gives you. IMO it's really situational whereas you'll almost always get benifit from the Alpha legion trait. You'd be better having a second alpha legion battalion.
Plus 'I am alphalpharus' is always good for itc as you're unlikely to give up slay the warlord. One plaguburst crawler seems a little out on his own. He could maybe move up the board with your daemon prince but that's about it.
If you can spare the money some oblitorators work really well in alpha legion. The deepstriking gives you some mobility and they can kill a lot with VotLW, Endless Cacophony and prescience.

Hi thanks for the help, to be honest i got no real reason to play night lords, i could easily blend both in a single army with 2 battalions, i dont have time to order the obliterators (and im waiting for the new models yei!)

Some people have been telling me that i dont need the CP, and that i better merge them all in blobs, what do you think about it?, algo i made some changes to the list (a friend offered me some DG models) and this is what looks now:

Death guard battalion

HQ
chaos lord of nurgle, bale sword.
Malignant plaguecaster

Troosp
2x20 cultist
1x20 poxwalkers
5xplague marines+blight launcher

Heavy supp
2x plague burster crawler.

CSM vanguard

HQ
Daemon prince of slaanesh
Sorceror in terminator armor tzeench

Elites
3x hellbrutes (misl/twinlas)
10x noise marines (8blasters 2 masters)

Flyer
Helldrake

Transport
Rhino

Yeah looks loads better. I'd make the vanguard alpha legion and consider making your cultists one big 40 man blob to get the most out of tide of traitors.

Should do well, decent shooting units with a screen that'll have some staying power.

Thanks a lot for your help, i got some doubts if you dont mind:

This list has only 9CP, i ve seen how much CP can other factions get, so what do you think about sending 30 of the cultist to the CSM to change it to a double battalion: 13cp, instead of the 9, what are the advantages and disadvantages of the 40 model blob with 9cp over the msu aproach with 13cp?.

It really depends which army you are playing. If you're playing knights or custodes lots of CP is needed to run all their stratergems.

I don't think death guard need a lot of CP and tide of traitors is still powerful. Anything that lets you respawn 30 cultists and place them aomewhere else on the board is great. I generally play TSons and daemons and dark matter crystal has won me more games than I can count.

You're best stratergem combo is going to be veterans of the long war and endless Cacophony on your noise marines which is 3 CP. Tide of of traitors (which you have access to because you have a CSM detachment) is 2 CP. So you can do this and still have 4 CP left to use.

It's to each their own really but I regualrly play a deathguard player and he struggles to use his CP whilst he still has decent units on the board.
