What's the best way to get weapons into alternate hands? Like say I want a skeleton to hold a Lasgun how would I get it to for into the skeleton hands?

If it was same model range to same model range then it would be pretty easy with pistol hands and some cutting. but for off kits like guns to skellingtons?...

best option might to cut off the gun hand right before the trigger , cut a spear skelly hand of the same hand, then glue and possibly green stuff the trigger finger together.
