Hello everybody!

Now, I just love Tyranids but paying 55 euros for 3 Hive guard (no matter how cool they are) is unfortunately too much for me.
How to solve this dilemma?
Build your own.

This blog will be dedicated to my (yet unnamed) Hive fleet in all of it's money-saving splendour.

So, let's take at the first ones out of the spawning chambers.

This one is actually an old conversion I did some years back to serve as a Lictor.
Maybe with the points drops, he (and his mates) will once again find their way into the battlefields.
Lots of walking hive tyrant legs going around for cheap, this one combines them with a warrior body and a zoanthrope head+back carapace.

Tyranid warriors. Just some minor work here, like the tiny plasticard scything talons.
This is the standard I'm gonna paint the whole army before going into detail, just black with a brown highlight. #greynomore

And finally, the star of the show:

The zero-euro Swarm Queen! Could also be played as a regular Hive tyrant with some arm swaps or even made into a flying one with just some minor conversion work.
The whole model is built completely out of spare bits and could quite easily be done even without greenstuff, if need be.

This was all for now, hopefully I can keep it up with the updates.
In our zero-euro(TM)* series we still have at least the biovore/pyrovore, and then there is lots of models with minor conversion work to be done. Until next time!

*) Disclaimer: bits are free, the boxes they come in aint.

Another wip, this time the bio/pyrovore. Did just a quick mock-up to see how the bits look together.

Parts used: hormagaunt head, genestealer talons and extended carapace bits, big stranglethorn cannon and a carnifex carapace.
