This weekend I had a game against a Chaos player, who states that all his troops with "heretic Astartes" keyword can use the bolter rule. I said, right, like Space Marines. And he said, no, everything has the keyword. I was checking through, and he's kinda right. Cultists have it, but can't use bolters. Same with other non-space marine units, like Mutilators. He left before I got a chance to fully check his codex.

My point is, aside from Space Marines and rhinos (Heretic) are there any Chaos units that use Bolters and get the new bolter rule? I found Fallen, but they don't have the Heretic Astartes keyword, but they are obvious space marines.

Any help? I don't want to ignore any units, then come to find out they get the rule.

Technically they would get the rule, but can't use it as they don't have Rapid Fire Bolt weapons.

the fallen dont have que KW to use that rule, so as long they dont FAQ it, no fallen can benefit from the bolter discipline

They are, but they don't have either ADEPTUS ASTARTES or HERETIC ASTARTES keywords.

And yeah, everything with HERETIC ASTARTES gets the Bolter rule, even if they aren't actually Space Marines or don't have Rapid Fire Bolt weapons. The rule just doesn't do anything for them.

Email GW (in a polite manner) explaining how silly it is that Cultists get the rule (but can't use it) while Fallen (who should be able to use it) cannot. Give them a reasonable suggestion on how to fix it (i.e. do not just complain to them, but give a constructive suggestion)

The March FAQ (is it still supposes to come in March? the Sept one didn't come until Oct) is coming soon and should have either a finalized version of Bolter Discipline, or an updated Beta version.
