I'm looking to convert a wind rider into a warlock sky runner.
I have a spare warlock head, and a high elf archer cloak kicking about as well as bunch of high elf sword arms and Eldrads sheathed sword might strap it to the saddle or something.

Any idea what I could do for a torso ?

Have you tried eBay?

This one looks like the torso is clear of arms and weapons, so would be good for conversion.

I made my first seer on a bike with an old bike and the new plastic farseer on foot. This was before the new jetseer kit came out. As the seer is in the SC box, you might be able to pick him up for cheep.

I would rather like to avoid buying and chopping up an entire model just for a torso.

I do have a spare farseer I got with the bladehost battle force.... Was planning on sticking a DE reaver's head on him and making him into a 2nd spirit seer though.

I think I'm going to try my hand at green stuffing the biker torso to look like rune armor and stick the cloak on the end...

could you get a generic torso, from a high elf archer, or whatever, then make a press mould of the runes to detail it? That would be the easiest. That said, chopping up a whole model for the torso isn't such a big deal if the model is cheap to begin with, or you can find uses for the other bits

Since WHFB is gone its becoming very problematic to get basic bits unfortunately.. :(

Would need to basically buy a whole OOP regiment of archers at this point. Ill keep an eye out on ebay for the odd one.
I think Ill have a crack at smoothing one of the guardian torsos with a dremel tool and then greenstuff the runic element on.

I recommend to use the wind-rider torso and make the robes from green stuff. You can also use blue-stuff to make a mold from any farseer torso and fill that with green stuff to get the ornamentation right.
