So I run terminator heavy, with typhus, poxwalkers blight haulers, bloat drones and a renegade castellan knight.
Is this a good strategy?
Deep strike termies for immediate pressure while my knight and mech do their thing and typhus and pox walkers walk up the board in a shamnling swarm?

Well, I'm no expert, but your Termies won't arrive till turn 2, so no immediate pressure from them.
If I were going Blightlords with a renegade Knight, I would try something a bit like Don Hooson's list.

I may have to look again... but I thought deepstrike units can now arrive turn 1.

They explicitly changed it in an FAQ and/or Chapter Approved now that you can't anymore. You could at the start of 8th. Then I think it was you could only do it in your own Deployment Zone on Turn 1, and finally, they just said not during Turn 1 at all.

Gotcha. Well with a knight castellan, my vehicles and 40 pox walkers, I would still be safe deep striking them on turn 2 I would think.
At least I don't have to roll for them to come into play or scatter

Only in your deployment zone.
Unless you and your opponet decide not to use that restriction.

Wait, they can only deepstrike in my deployment zone?
What's the point?

The rule has changed twice. I still get confused. 40 Poxwalkers are ok but they need the support of a few buffs to make them great.
Typhus which you already have will make them s4 t4 and he can cast putrescent vitality on one unit for stronger tougher pox and then cast Blades of putrefaction to make them happily wound knights on a 4+ but still only hitting on 5+.
Biggest weakness of them is 4" move.
Bigggest strength is they are immune to morale so flood the board with them and screen out wide to stop people deepstriking in behind your lines and can hold a lot of objectives.
The other fun way to play them is to have a unit of cultists nearby and pop the strat to mean when cultists (or any non pox infantry) die close to them you get more poxwalkers. But this was sadly kneejerk nerf faq'd to say that if it takes your squad above starting size then you have to pay reinforcement points for them.
Poxwalkers are an ok unit but since you are not playing plaguemarines or hellbrutes you won't get any value from their chapter tactic of inexorable advance so at that point Plaguebearers become better then pox.
To the OP you seem to be favouring DG (like myself) so there is a really great bunch of guys in the tactics thread and its full of casual and competitive DG players. You can post all your DG questions in that thread and you will get very detailed responses from people who know their gak inside out.
