While the basement Columbos enhance ervey picture GW puts out CSI style to find hints for new modles I have a question that is pretty obvious:
Why does Haarken's spear has "Ghad" or "Dahg" written on it? While all the hype was going on about the new Chaos reveals I thought there would be a hint on his spear as GW was so in love with the idea of him throwing down roman style.
So I consulted the Chaos runes translated and well this is what I am stuck with.
Did I miss anything or does nobody care? Listening to some Vox Cast episodes I do not think that the modell designer just threw them on to make the spear look cool.

I think it’s a reference to the Chaos gods as it can also mean “gahd” , except in the bible gahd is referencing a false deity. If you take the implication in 40k that the Emperor is essentially where the God mythology cane from alongside the existence of perpetuals then it makes sense.

At first I thought he was wielding a corrupted heresy Primarch killer weapon but it’s stats are too bad for that. I think it’s just a nice little touch like the genestealer cult model with an aerial view of Warhammer World on the radar display.

I make it to be Gh-h-aa-dh going from base to tip. So we have Dh-aa-h-gh the other way around. Seems gibberish or it could be what TwilightSparkles said.
