I am new to Astra Militarum. I also haven't done anything competative and am trying to put together a competative list for the itc tournament coming up. I would gladly like some feedback on my list.

Looks like a castellan plus flavor of whatever you decide.

My only suggestion would be to figure out a way to squeeze Harker in the artillery detachment instead of a master of ordnance. Master of Ordnance's ability only works if enemies are more than 36" away, and harker comes with a sweet heavy bolter and isn't limited to buffing just the artillery.

Move the Hellhounds to the Catachan detachment, so they can re-roll number of shots on their flamers. Commissars are a poor choice, swap them out for some Astropaths for buffs, or Platoon Commanders to order your Mortar Squads, or a Techpriest to repair your artillery.

If I put harker in the list I have shave points somewhere. Though I do agree he is a better option.

I need the hellounds In the Cadian detachment for the elite choices.

Switching out the commissars also puts me over points.

So I either have to drop some artillery or maybe switch the hellhound our with something. Sentinels maybe....

Derp, I didn't realize you had a brigade. Swapping a single hellhound out for a Plasma Cannon Armored Sentinel then is probably a good idea, so you can use the extra points for upgrading the commissars to more useful characters and get Harker in there.
