I need some advice on what's better to take with large blobs of pox walkers. Either Tally man with his re-rolls to hit or Foul Blightspawn with his revolting stench making units who charged go last in the fight phase? Additionally, the blight spawn also has his awesome plague spewer too.

Generally speaking, the Foul Blightspawn is the better choice for a Death Guard army.

That said, if you're running a lot of Pox Walkers, I think the Tallyman is the better choice - hitting on 4s (worse yet, on 5s) gives you a lot of reroll value.

I've found the FBS' revolting stentch doesn't realy do very much, it only really works if you're getting assaulted by multiple units since the charging player will just activate his/her strongest unit first anyway as it's their turn. His Plague sprayer is game changing though, fantastic weapon to have. If you're taking multiple poxwalkers (40-80) then I say take the Tallyman, like minmax said, the re-rolls will serve you better.

Hey buddy,

If you want some additional help, I host a youtube channel and have a Death Guard tactica on my page (its in my sig).

That said, as above, Tallyman would buff Poxwalkers more, but poxwalkers (generally) do not do very good damage; usually they will lose a lot going in, so hitting at WS 5. Poxwalkers are there to allow the real threats to do the dirty work; Typhus, Plague Casters, Demon princes, ranged elements, etc. Personally I would take the Spawn because he does a crazy amount of damage.

Playing from the other side of the table, I know that I worry about how to deal with FBS more than Tallyman. The lists I normally face use Poxwalkers as screens and backfield objective holders rather than as damage dealers though.

I stand between the darkness and the light. Between the candle and the star.
