Hello
I currently have the first chaos marine codex and the deathguard codex as I flutter between playing deathguard and nurgle space marines.
Which book do I now to get out of the 2 new books Vigilus Ablaze or Chaos Marine Codex II as some people are saying some stuff is in one and not the either visa-versa
Appreciate the help as I couldn't find it on the forums

Get Vigilus Ablaze, as far as I know there's nothing new in the updated Chaos codex that isn't also in Vigilus Ablaze, plus Vigilus Ablaze also comes with all the cool specialist detachment rules and renegade chapter traits!

The new codex lacks the detachments or renegade chapter stuff. If you got the old books, its not worth the price of admission unless youre too lazy to use your CA 2018 book for points reference.

Agreed. If you don't have a CSM codex at all, obviously get the new one. If you have the old one, just get Vigilus.
If you can afford the new Dex too, then cool it's a nice QoL improvement. Though bare in mind it's not future proof, after a few more FAQs you'll likely be back to needing a bunch of sources to be up to date regardless.

Are the Shadowspear u,it's in Vigilus? They are in the new Chaos dex so there is that.

If you have the old codex then the only thing the new codex has to offer for you is updated points costs (which are, themselves, not exactly correct and will be outdated sometime in the future). You want the Vigilus book for the new stuff.
