I like the Inquisition Jokaero model, and I was kinda disappointed there was only one pose. Lately, I've been thinking about the armies that don't have a lot of capacity for soup- Tau being one of those.

So what about a box of Jokaero, designed to be plugged into a Tau army, with the capacity to also use the models in an Inquisitorial retinue? Do think the Jokaero are a good fit for the Tau alliance?

I don't suggest this as an alternative to expanding kroot and vespid (possibly a resculpt on vespid- a dual purpose box so they could have a new unit type); I think these things should also be pursued. I'd like to see both kroot and vespid with enough model support to field them as bottom tier stand alones, and let the Jokaero occupy the place currently held by the vespids. Maybe a hrud kit on the same level as jokaero- 4 races + tau in the alliance.

One of the Rumor Engine posts had what is probably a vespid wing, so we might get plastic vespid yet.

Jokaero probably don't have enough government to actually 'ally' with anyone in a meaningful sense. They're tech-nomads. There's no reason Jokaero couldn't be found in the Tau empire, following around a favorite commander or ethereal or water caste envoy, but that would be about the extent of it - same as goes for inquisitors. Jokaero do what Jokaero do!

Now, a merc codex that could plug units of Kroot, Jokaero and other stuff into almost any army would be cool as heck.
