In this edition can I mix units from different gods in 1 detachment? Can I have Slanneeshi Seekers in a unit with blood letters as troops and Tzench deamon princes for HQs?

Will I still get the faction bonus? I am thinking about the wrath and rapture box but don't want to build 2 seperate battalions with it. But I still want all the units to get their special rules.

You only get the specific God locus for pure detachments.

I use a pure Nurgle detachment to give my Daemon Prince the Locus of Virulence (I think that's what its called) but I also take a second detachment that mixes a Nurgle Herald and a Tzeentch herald so I can get the Gaze of Fate power and a free reroll. That detachment doesent gain the Locus but doesn't really need to.

You don't have to build two Battalions, but if you want either to have their God-buffs you will need two Detachments; one Khorne and one Slaanesh.

I'm not 100% sure what's in the W&R box, but I think you can make one Slaanesh Patrol Detachment and one Khorne Patrol Detachment out of what's in there.

are both Patrol Detachments. 1xHQ, 1xTroops, 1xElite, 1xFast Attack

The Slaanesh Locus is the best Locus, though, followed closely by Khorne.

The Nurgle Locus is nice, but not worth building around, and the Tzeentch Locus sucks.

But, two Patrols leaves you 3 CP as opposed to 8 CP in a battalion. So ask yourself which you need more, if you only have Wrath and Ratpure.

Wait, strike that-you need a 3rd troop to make a Battalion.

Two Patrol detachments gives you 5CP using the W&R minis, 'cause Battle-Forged.

Which should be plenty, since I doubt those minis add up to even 750pts.

Battle Forged is only 3 CPs, unless something was recently changed.

Right, and one CP for each Patrol. Total 5CP.

Similarly, unless something changed and I missed it.

A patrol detachment has been 0CP from the beginning of 8th edition.

It's the specialist detachments (1 HQ, 3 Elites/FA/HS) that give 1 CP. And the Supreme Command.

Sounds like I need to get the codex.

I just got the choas Marine codex. I'm thinking Engine 'Zilla list with deamon support. I like Slanneesh, think Khorn is over done (but good and pretty much my style), I'm indifferent to Tzentch and Hate Nurgle. Its just yucky.

But those might be my knife ears showing again.

I want seekers, and fiends. I also see a use for blood crushers and hounds, Karnak is great. So I think its the box to get.

Are you saying you are going to run a slanneeshi Deamon and wytch cult army? Open play only of course, but that would be really cool. Not very good, they compete for the same jobs in the army and don't complement each other or fill in each others weakness. But cool as hell!

Rules-wise, no. The new guys will be pure Drukhari. Fluff-wise, yeah they'll be part of my Slaanesh 'soup'. I have tons of Daemonette heads left over so I'll be modelling a lot of them with those.
