So I've been printing out 3D storage trays, ordering new bases and generally just trying to organise the mess that is all my miniatures. I've also been building my Primaris from all the box sets as well.

I like to play fluff, I always have. I don't care about what does and does not work, I'm not a tournament player. Although I'd love some new 8th edition Math Hammer apps I don't rely on them for how I make an army.

Now playing fluff wise "Curse of the Wulfen" was an eye opener of just how small each Great Chapter is. Page 20 shows the entirety (I think) of the Deathwolves. If I am wrong in the following assessment please let me know and please reference the book and page number so I can look it up myself. Now I know page 155 of the same book allows you to take skyclaws and other units, but I like the idea of each Great Company being slightly specialised.

Harold, Canis, 3 squads of Thunderwolves, 4 squads of Grey Hunters, 2 squads of Bloodclaws, 2 squads of Wolfscouts, 2 squads of Fenresian wolves, 2 dreadnoughts.

That is the core of his army. Now Wolf Priests, Rune Priests, and Iron Priests come from the Great Wolf himself, and vehicles don't count towards the bulk of the army from what I'm reading.

Now I'm pleased with how the Deathwolves are used. The Great Wolf uses Harold as his hunter and tracker and it shows in his force organisation. So this got me thinking that I will just start multiple companies to account for my swiftclaws, skyclaws, extra Grey Hunters, Long Fangs, and Wolfguard.

So what about all my Primaris? I've given it a bit of thought and I figured I would add 2 Intercessor Squads, 1 Hellblaster Squad, 1 Suppressors Squad, 1 Eliminators Squad, 1 Infiltrators Squad, and 1 Reivers Squad. These to me seem to fit the feel of the Deathwolves.

Of course I have no idea how many Primaris are allowed fluff wise. However this is where I'm starting.

My second Company will be The Drakeslayers, and lastly the Great Wolf himself. They will fill out the roles that are not quite what the Deathwolves would do so as I'm not too limited in my army choices and still keep it fluffy.

Thoughts? Suggestions? References?
