Hi all I’ve been listening to the HH on audible and I’ve found something that I can’t understand.

In the first book Horus Rising, Garviel Loken speaks with Primarch Dorn and Dorn tells him he elected Loken to be part of the Mournival. However in the book Flight of the Eisenstein Dorn asks Sigismund for his opinion on Loken as if he had never met him before. Is this actually a contradicting story plot or have I missed something?

Thanks

it's likely just a contridiction, you're occasionally going to get those in a story series with multiple writers lik the HH books and honestly it's impressive how well the HH was handled when you step back and think of it, the HH editorial team should be considerthe unsung heros of black library. if you need to explain it you can always explain it as Dorn feiging ignorance to hear what others would say of Loken.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Feigning ignorance how ? Sigismund was there as well when Dorn met Loken.

"Hey Siggy, what's up about this chap Loken ? Never met him but damn have I heard some swell stories."
"My Lord, I was there when you met him"
"... I'm 200 years old Siggy, goddammit..."

To my knowledge Loken doesn't appear in Flight of the Eisenstein, or if he does, he doesn't meet with Dorn. Iacton Qurze meets Dorn along side Nathaniel Garro.

If the audio book says Loken, its probably an error.
