With the release of the new Chaos Havoc rules and the new Reaper Chaincannon, I can imagine a lot of people will want to take full advantage of the new Heavy 8 gun. The only thing that I'm a bit miffed at is that despite there are 2 of each weapon in the new Havoc box (which is great), there is only one chaincannon.

I was looking to find out what people's plans were for fielding more of these. As I wouldn't mind 4 of them but doubt I'll be buying 4 Havoc boxes just for the guns.

I've come across a few alternatives that could work well, the best of which were these:

I also pulled together an article on Chaos Reaper Chaincannon Alternatives with a list of the different options I'd found so far. Has anyone tried any of these?

I was going to to order the Kromlech ones, but all the online retailers are out. So I got the Pop goes the monkey ones from Shapeways. I haven't done anything with them as I have lots of stuff going on.

Can anyone confirm that the Kromlech ones are the right scale to fit onto the torso's of the new models?

"Courage and Honour. I hear you murmur these words in the mist, in their wake I hear your hearts beat harder with false conviction seeking to convince yourselves that a brave death has meaning.
There is no courage to be found here my nephews, no honour to be had. Your souls will join the trillion others in the mist shrieking uselessly to eternity, weeping for the empire you could not save.

To the unfaithful, I bring holy plagues ripe with enlightenment. To the devout, I bring the blessing of immortality through the kiss of sacred rot.
And to you, new-born sons of Gulliman, to you flesh crafted puppets of a failing Imperium I bring the holiest gift of all.... Silence."

This may or may not help:
I have the Kromlech lascannons, and I really struggled to get them to fit onto a normal old style chaos space marines.
Also, the arms are a little bit thinner than the old style CSM arms.

Styrene tubing and the heavy bolters. A few mins of cutting and filing and sticking each. Cost: pence.

For me, the joy is in putting some good-looking models on the board and playing out a fantasy battle - not arguing over the poorly-made rules of some 3rd party who neither has any power over my play nor will be visiting me (and my opponent) to ensure we are "playing by the rules"
